Stephen Hennessy

I am a macroeconomist on the PhD job market for 2026–2027. I recently defended my dissertation at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

My doctoral work focuses on insurance among aging parents and their adult children via financial transfers or in-kind services like shared housing. More recently, I have been leveraging restricted microdata to characterize migration flows of linked parents and children across Canada.
